Anyone have problems with CoQ10 fish oil capsules?

I'm trying to figure out why I sporadically (although not always) seem to have problems with fish oil capsules.  I buy a very high quality one (Carlson) and have had enough reactions that I'm really suspicious of the pills as being the problem.  I'll add that my reactions don't happen every time.  I've learned I have to take them with food....taking one on a relatively empty stomach gave me GERD a couple of times.  Most recently, I got really sick from taking one (with dinner), and it was a delayed reaction that occurred about 5 hours later....vomiting 4 or 5 times, and big digestive woes and sick for an hour or two.  Next day I felt lousy.  I had eaten a dinner I'd had many other times without a problem, so I just have to think it was the fish oil.  I just think it's odd that it doesn't happen every time, but I'm at a loss for what is going on with them. This last time when I got so sick, I took a spoonful of liquid fish oil so I wouldn't have to have a capsule in my stomach to break down.  I hate to give up on the fish oil, but I'm thinking I'll have to.

I'm curious if anyone else has had trouble with fish oil.

Have you looked all of the inactive ingredients? Perhaps you are sensitive to one of them?

I use Nature Made available at Costco, and one thing I recall is that it's very important to get fresh fish oil, as it can turn rancid if it sits for weeks before you take it. Costco has a very high turnover, thus it generally is fresh when you buy it.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
