Kind of positive biopsy?

Hi,

I have been having trouble swallowing for a few years. GI kept telling me it was reflux. I finally got a doctor to listen to me and ordered a barium swallow study, which found food getting stuck. I got sent for an endoscopy. The Dr. said it looked like textbook EoE and she took a bunch of biopsies, including one for celiac due to my history of chronic IBS. Since I was 3 I've had IBS, skin issues/inflammation, allergies, and teeth that keep falling apart.

I got a call back saying my celiac biopsy looked like might be celiac and that the Dr. wanted to do more testing (bloodwork). The person I spoke to was just the assistant and I think she was just reading off a paper so I wasn't able to get answers to specific questions. The Dr. has been essentially unreachable throughout this whole process so I'm currently looking for a new GI. I wasn't even able to get a confirmation on my EoE diagnosis. My question is: Can a biopsy for celiac show a "maybe" result?

I looked back at my past lab results and I was apparently tested for Celiac last year (I had no idea) and it came back negative. My labs show:

Transglutaminase Ab IgA

Value 2      Reference Value <4 (Unit/ml)

- Value Interpretation

- <4 U/mL: No Antibody Detected

- >or=4 U/mL: Antibody Detected

So this would be a negative test if I'm reading it properly.

You could have NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity) which is 10x more common than celiac disease with many of the same symptoms.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.
