does anyone have a good pie crust recipe for pie or quiche?

someone recently suggested to me that i crumble up Pamela's shortbread cookies and use a little water to stick it together- but i want something a little less sweet that i could use for a quiche or a chicken pot pie even.

The Gluten Free Pantry has a great pie crust mix. That is what I always use. One mix makes 2 crusts or one 2 crusted pie like cherry or apple. Anyways they are good.

The Gluten Free gourmet bakes dessert by Bette Hagman has two pie crust recipes. I tried the Donna Jo's dream pastry and found it to be even better than the real thing. Very nice and flakey.

hehehe :-) that was my suggestion! it's less sweet than you'd think, but I agree it's not good for pot pies and the like. I have heard of people using corn flakes (gluten-free ones, of course) in much the same way, and would imagine that corn flakes would make an EXECELLET pot pie crust (taste wise). not sure about the details of how you'd want to put it together, but I'm sure some experimenting would get you there.

I make a lot of quiche because my kids and I love it. I use hash browns for the crust. I thaw frozen hash browns first, press them into the bottom of a pie pan, and use a paper towel to get any moisture out of them and press them tightly into the pan. I spray olive oil spray on them and bake for @ 15 min at 425 until they start to brown a little. Then I put the eggs, swiss and cheddar cheese, veggies and meat in. It is really good, my kids like to talk about how good mom's quiche is :D

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.

To evaluate the TTG antibody result we’d need to know the normal range for that lab.  Labs don’t all use the same units.  However, based on any normal ranges that I’ve seen and the listed result being greater than a number rather than a specific number, I’d say yes, that is high! Higher than the range where the test can give a quantitative result. You got good advice not to change your diet yet.  If you went gluten free your intestines would start to heal, confusing any further testing,
