Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the new Hershey Kissable

chocolate candies are Gluten free?

I want some so bad but I cant figure out if they are gluten free or not.

I went to Hersheys website and I cant find anything that says.

Thanks for the help!

yes they are, but they aren't that good in my opinion! Hershey's will never hide gluten in the labeling so if it appears to be gluten-free, it is. My daughter and I both tried them and we just weren't impressed.

WHAT ARE THEY?? DIFFERENT FROM 'KISSES'?

I HEARD SOMEWHERE THAT THE MINITURE SQUARES WITH THE NUTS, DARK & MILK CHOC ONES MIGHT NOT BE gluten-free. ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE? uSE FOR TRICK OR TREATERS EASTER CHRISTMAS ETC.

Thanks for replying so fast. I have the bag in front of me and I was so afraid to eat them.

Thanks!

I love these!!!! I happened to buy a bag of them yesterday (had a really bad day - needed a treat)...and they're probably about half gone now. :o I like them better then M&M's....but then again - I love Hershey's chocolate more than any kind of chocolate I've ever tried!! Yum Yum Yum!! I hope you enjoyed every bite!

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
