Didn't I read some where that it can be a symptom of Celiac's? My little guy woke up from his nap at pre school screaming out in pain and refusing to walk. They rubbed it for like 15 minutes before he would move. Are there any suggestions to help out with the pain?

Poor little guy :(

I was glutened today, and I had the worst leg cramps ever. This was my first experience with anything like that happening as a result of consuming gluten. Rubbing and massaging my legs helped the best, and I really don't know that anything else would have helped. Hopefully someone else on here will have a pain remedy, because I could use on as well.

I feel so bad for your little boy, because here I am, almost 21 years old, and I could barely stand the pain. I can't imagine what it must be like for a preschooler :(

I'm definitely glutened today and am having horrible trouble with my toes keeping on turnng up the wrong way. It's really painful.

OMG--Matilda, this is what happens to me--I've never heard anyone describe it so perfectly! I also find that when I stretch, my calf muscles lock up, and I have to stand up immediately with all of my weight on the leg or it goes into a full on cramp.

my 2 year old does the same thing at night. she is in so much pain. I give her motrin, and rub her legs. some times I will put lavender oil on them, it seems to calm her until she falls asleep. I have never had them so I don't know how they feel I just know that she is in pain.

This happened to me all the time as a child and even until I went gluten free 4 months ago. This was one of my daughter's main symptoms as well. And if she gets glutened this is how I tell. I ususally rub her legs and give her motrin or tylenol. So sorry for your little guy!

      I strongly recommend 2 dedicated gluten free (gluten-free) restaurants in my area (East Bay of San Francisco Bay Area) (2025) -- Life is Sweet Bakery and Café in Danville. I've been a few times with friends and tried multiple entrees and salads. All very good and worth having again. I've also tried a number of their bakery goods. All extremely good (not just "good for gluten-free"). https://lifeissweetbakeryandcafe.com/ -- Kitara Kitchen in Albany (they have additional locations). I've been once and had the "Buritto Bowl". Six individual items plus a sauce. Outstanding. Not just "for gluten-free", but outstanding in its own right. Vibrant flavors, great textures.       I'm 67 and have been celiac for 17yrs. I had cataract surgery and they put a gluten lens in my eye. Through a lot of research, I found out about MMA acrylic...it contains gluten. It took 6 months for me to find a DR that would remove it and replace it with a gluten-free lens . I have lost some vision in that eye because of it . I also go to a prosthodontist instead of a regular dentist because they are specialized. He has made me a night guard and a few retainers with no issues... where my regular dentist didn't care. I have really bad reactions to gluten and I'm extremely sensitive, even to CC. I have done so much research on gluten-free issues because of these Drs that just don't care. Gluten is in almost everything shampoo, lotion, food, spices, acrylic, medication even communion wafers! All of my Drs know and believe me I remind them often.... welcome to my world!

      If this applies geographically, in the U.K., physicians will often declare a diagnosis of celiac disease based on the TTG-IGA antibody blood test alone if the score is 10x normal or greater, which your score is. There is very little chance the endoscopy/biopsy will contradict the antibody blood test.

      What was the reference range for that test? Each lab uses different reference ranges so a raw score like that makes it difficult to comment on. But it looks like a rather large number.
