Lakefront Brewery makes a gluten-free beer called New Grist and it's GOOD!

if you go to www.lakefrontbrewery.com/where.asp, you can see where to get it - throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, etc. this is great for us Chicagoans :)

It's pretty funny to me that I've never liked beer because it always made me lightheaded (brain fog, but not like other alcohol) and sick. I always thought it was the alcohol ... guess I know differently now ... my dad was a beer distributor, which is even more ironic. I'm glad there is something out there for the rest of you though! Maybe I'll try it sometime; I wonder if it would be different trying one that has ingredients that I can tolerate.

Wow !!! Thanks for the info, I live just 45 minutes north of Milwaukee. I figured one of the brewery's down there would come up with a gluten free beer eventually. Wisconsinites like their beer ! Good for them!

@StuartJ, what brand of gluten-free flour did she use?

Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
