Hi - just got the DQ test for my son ...says HLADQ2 and 8 Assay each were positive.

Also says "Results do not exclude a diagnosis of celiac disease. HLA allelic variants associated with celiac disease detected.

DQ2 Heterodimer (HLA DQA1*0201/DQB1*02) and DQ8 (not sure what this means)

below that were the

Endomysial abs = neg

Gliadin TGG - 4.4 (supposed to be less than 25)

Gliadin IGA - 1.3 ( " )

(I asked for others that I think she said were normal but they didn't give me a copy of those - I think I asked for Total IGA but I'll check).

So does that mean each of us gave him a gene? or could this have come from just one of us? Should we be tested too. (I have an slight IgG response to gliadin/gluten but other tests neg.)

Test came from Mayo Clinic.

So are these on one gene.. meaning their paired and pair one is dq2 and the other dq8? one comes from one parent the other from the other?

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
