Non Dairy Creamer....what Can I Use?

Trying to find a non diary creamer that doesn't have all the junk in it. I love the liquid coffeemate creamers like hazelnut and french vanilla.

Do you have any ideas how to make one from scratch?

Most non-dairy creamers aren't really non-dairy; they're non-lactose, but they contain casein. The only truly non-dairy one I've found is made by Silk soymilk. I've only had the plain, but it's quite good, and they also make hazelnut and french vanilla.

Unfortunately, I'm now coming to realize that I'm intolerant to soy too, so I'm back to drinking tea for my caffeine. (Can't stand coffee without some approximation of half and half!) :(

Just use a milk sub and add flavoring? That's what I'd do if I drank coffee, though you'd have to keep it refrigerated and it wouldn't stay good for that long.

silk soymilk makes a creamer. my mom loves it.

I use Vance's Dari Free. It's good used either as a liquid, or dry.

I've found with the Silk, if you're coffee is REALLY hot, it will burn the soymilk and have a funny taste. If the coffee is a drinkable temp., then it's time to add the cream. I discovered this because it would always taste funny at Starbucks (I'd bring my own cream, they only have the Soymilk). But when I made it at home and my coffee had sat a while, it didn't taste so funny.

It's not my favorite, and I no longer drink coffee daily because of it, but it's adequate when you really want a cup!

      You are right! The logo the have on their packages got me confused--it looks like they are less than 20ppm, not certified GF. Thanks for catching that! My brain also zeroed in on this "less than 10ppm" but I should have seen the rest...

      Bump up your thiamine dose!  You can take more if you don't feel anything after the first one.  Must needs getting to that 500mg. We need more thiamine when we're fighting an infection.  Zinc will help fight infections, too, as well as Vitamin C. They all work together. Hope you feel better!

      Welcome to the forum, @MagsM, I had Meniere's.  Meniere's is caused by deficiencies in Thiamine, Niacin, and Vitamin D.  Celiac Disease causes malabsorption which affects all the essential vitamins and minerals. The B vitamins work in concert together like an orchestra.  Having a Folate deficiency suggests other B vitamin deficiencies as well.  Folate needs Pyridoxine B6 and Thiamine B1 to work properly with Cobalamine B12.  Doctors are not required to take many courses in nutrition, and often don't recognize deficiency symptoms or how to correct them.  Blood tests are not an accurate measurement of vitamin deficiencies inside cells.  Low iron correction requires copper and zinc as well...
