Does anyone know of a calciim D Supplement that is gluten-free? I'm thinking it would be powder vs. pill form.

When I contacted Nature Made they told me that only their chewable supplements had gluten. All others are gluten-free. So if they have a non-chewable calcium D it should be okay.

Thanks Leah :)

I'm a fan of Rainbow Light's Food Based Calcium, which has appropriate ratio's of Ca, Vit D, and Mg. Most celiacs don't get enough magnesium to support bone growth - heck, most people in general don't get enough. I believe CitriCal makes one similarly as well.

CitriCal is what my Dr suggested but when I asked if it was gluten-free she didn't know. Is there a web site where we can look up vitamins and medications like we can food?

Thanks alot.

There's glutenfreedrugs.com, but I'm not sure how often the list is updated. Your best bet is to call the company.

My dietician recommended Freeda Vitamins. They are gluten-, yeast-, color- blah blah blah free!!! Seriously, they are void of so many unnecessary ingredients. I have their multi-vitamin, co-q10, sublingual B12. What I find pretty amazing is that, while they do have a mild smell to them, they don't have that horrible "vitamin" smell to them that some do . . . . So far, I've been really happy with them. . . . Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
