Using A Bread Machine

I'd really like to use my bread machine to make my dh's bread. I have some in there now but right now it doesn't look real good. I'd like to know what recipes you use in your bread machines and any tips for using it. I had Bette's book from the library but don't have it now. I thought she said something about taking the paddle out after the first mix. I did that but my ingredients weren't mixed at all so I mixed them myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Okay, the bread is out of the bread machine and the bottom slice or two is doughy. This happened to a different recipe I tried also. Is it the machine? How long does your machine take to bake bread? What can I do to avoid this? Thanks for the help!

I have a zo bread machine & love it. It takes 2 hrs.& 8 min. to bake. I use the mix from Anna and it is wonderful. When your machine is mixing & kneading you need to take a spatula and clean off the sides of the machine so it all gets mixed in, then when that is all complete and is ready for the rise I smooth out the top so it is even on top that way you don't get a mountain on one side & a valley on the other!!!The only thing I can think of is perhaps your machine is not baking the bread long enough for it not to be done completely through. My machine bakes the typical loaf of bread but I do have the older upright loaf machine and that has never happened to me.

hope this helps and if you have any other ???? please pm me if you like.

good luck.

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
