Timberlodge, Outback, Good Earth (also has lots of organic and vegan choices), P.F. Chang's, Pei Wei, Bittersweet Bakery is totally gluten-free in Eagan (suburb). I recommend checking out the Northland Celiac's webpage before you go-they list a lot of these here and also it might be handy to know if there's a nearby grocery store you can use-they list those also-here's their site: Open Original Shared Link

Do stop in at the Bittersweet Bakery in Eagan if you get the chance. Their carrot muffins are truly excellent and it is great to go to a bakery where it smells great and you can actually eat everything in the store. (Assuming your diet is just minus gluten) Don't be put off by the items in the display case the good stuff is all in the back. (Refrigeration issues)

Enjoy your trip.

Thank you both so much, this is great information. We are actually going there the week of Thanksgiving, my husband has family in St. Paul. While we're there we're going to go to the Vikings game, so I'm looking forward to that.

Have you tried the Chianti Grill or Good Earth in Roseville? I was wondering which one was better or if they both were worth going to?

Thanks again for the information, :)

I've never been to the Chianti Grill myself, but I've heard they have great ambiance, their steaks are supposed to be good, and they make a lot of their stuff from scratch so you can talk to the chefs to get what you want. It's pricier than Good Earth, maybe you could do lunch instead of supper there if you wanted to keep it less pricey.

I'm partial to Good Earth myself, my college roommate used to waitress there-we all went there often (good sign when you like to visit the restaurant your roommate actually works at!). Their place at Roseville doesn't have the greatest ambiance, but they have good vegetarian selections and organic food options, and the food is great. I always get the tea also-smoothies are a good choice if you're in the mood. I recommend calling ahead, especially if you are going Sunday lunch-it tends to be packed then and you can expect a wait during busy times if you just show up-I'd call ahead and they take your name, then you don't have much wait time. They opened a new place in Edina that I haven't been to yet-just checked out their website and they have photos-looks nice. If you want to check out their menu and prices ahead of time here you go-have fun!

I am going to be traveling for two weeks on buisness, the first part of the trip takes me to Minneapolis this weekend for a convention. I have been really stressing about what I am going to eat the entire time.

I was so excited to see the post about the Bittersweet Bakery! I will definitely be stopping in and stocking up on my way to the hotel. Thanks!!

Let me know how your trip went. Did you have any good or bad experiences at some of the restuarants. And how was the gluten free bakery?

Carol

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.

Your post demonstrates the profound frustration and isolation that so many in the Celiac community feel, and I want to thank you for channeling that experience into advocacy. The medical gaslighting you endured for decades is an unacceptable and, sadly, a common story, and the fact that you now have to "school" your own GI specialist speaks volumes about the critical lack of consistent and updated education. Your idea to make Celiac Disease a reportable condition to public health authorities is a compelling and strategic one. This single action would force the system to formally acknowledge the prevalence and seriousness of the disease, creating a concrete dataset that could drive better research funding, shape medical school curricula, and validate the patient experience in a way that individual stories alone often cannot. It is an uphill battle, but contacting representatives, as you have done with Adam Gray, is exactly how change begins. By framing it as a public health necessity—a matter of patient safety and protection from misdiagnosis and neglect—you are building a powerful case. Your voice and your perseverance, forged through thirty years of struggle, are exactly what this community needs to ensure that no one else has to fight so hard just to be believed and properly cared for.

I had no idea there is a "Louisville" in Colorado!😉 I thought it was a typo because I always think of the Kentucky city--but good luck!
