Giant Eagle Vent Or Rant !

I drive 20 miles to get to a g.e. that has a nature basket section where they do carry some gluten-free stuff. When I went there this week they had a seperate freezer section labeled all gluten-free... before it was mixed in with all other natural frozen foods in the nature basket section.I first thought Wow this will be a great help to new people to be able to look in one place & feel safe . I know I must continue to check labels but for a new person they just might assume that this was done by the store since it clearly states gluten-free only section. To my surprise I find Amy's samoas wraps that contain wheat! I got excited thinking there's another choice... We went directly to the front office & asked to speak to the manager to let him know this will make someone very sick & to remove it from the gluten-free section because it isn't gluten-free. We couldn't get anyone to come to the front desk so the girl there said oh well I guess I'll put it on a piece of paper--- no big deal to her: for others it could be a train wreck for weeks for them. I hope when I go back in a few weeks it is removed but in the meantime I pray no one buys & eats these thinking they are okay.

Carelessness is what gets all of us at one time or another....

Yikes, not even hidden gluten, but wheat right on the label? That's pretty irresponsible of the store manager. Good thing you caught it & spoke up.
