I'm in the minority, but I HATED it. It had a funny taste and texture to me.

haven't tried the bread yet, but a few weeks ago, a bunch of our friends got together for "Crepes Night"....in the past, I've just kinda sat back and munched on fruit, but this time, i was surprised when my cousin, who was hosting, presented me with a bag of Pamela's pancake mix. she proceeded to make mine in a pan seperate from everyone elses and they were SO GOOD! i swear, they tasted just like real crepes!!! i was so happy, especially when she gave me the bag w/ 2/3 of the mix still there :) so i do like Pamela's stuff so far as I've tried. i do however love gluten-free pantry's bread mixes so i haven't bothered trying another brand.

good luck to you all!

i make it all the time with egg replacer and it comes out great.

Really? You can get it to work with egg replacer? Do you use Ener-G? I haven't even tried it without eggs because I've had so many flops in the past. Can you please tell me exactly how you do it?

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
