Does anybody know if the costco cashews in the big tub are gluten free? Does anybody know if the Organics brand of microwaveble popcorn is gluten-free? Thanks!

hi-

the labels don't list any gluten products, and neither label says anything about manufacturing process involving wheat, so i figured they were both ok. It seems like Im starting to have a reaction though.

The Costco cashews are fine (at least, I don't seem to have a problem with them, and I eat them every day). They DO have peanut oil in them, so stay away if you have a problem with peanuts.

we use costco walnuts and almonds without a problem - i assume they are all manufactured the same.

Call Costco's customer service from their website. They are great at answering these types of questions and usually get back to you within a day or two. My thoughts are the more we call, the more it encourages them to label stuff gluten-free, as it costs them for every incoming call.

the reason costco cannot label is because they buy out smaller companies and post their name on it... if you look closely at some of their things, you'll notice it. because the companies they buy from might re-formulate, costco would have to keep on their toes, too.

in canada, at least, this applies. the "Kirkland" jelly beans are Jelly Belly. Their Kirkland water is Nestle or Aberfoyle, I forget which. Their tuna is the same brand we get here. And so on.

It would be nice though!

      Thanks for your input.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
