I was reading someplace here... ( sorry my mind is just not working... ) that the kids are breaking out from using WHEAT shampoo and products.... GOD i feel like another bolt of lightning has just hit me... I never realized that gluten is in shampoo... and hand lotion and on the backs of stamps .. in soda...

Okay so does this type of posioning do damage internally too.. or its it externally .. and just cause dermatitis. My husband does not realize how many products have gluten in them and the more I read .. you guys are saying sometimes it is not listed.. then you are wondering or know why your sick when it wasnt listed on the label. I guess when you have achild and this is 99% the problem you go through the grieveing stage... and sadly I am there.. what stage I am on ... now that is a differnt web site. thanks . everyone for listening and commenting.

Yes, unfortunately gluten can be in things like shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, bubble bath, toothpaste......really anything. Look for things like wheat germ oil, barley extract and oat bran. Vitamin E may be derived from wheat germ oil, too. I break out externally from those things. But you will also end up with 'eating' some of it. If you wash your hair with shampoo containing gluten, and you touch your hair and then eat with gluten on your hands.......... or you put on lotion and then eat........ think about it. Many chap sticks contain gluten, you can't help ingest some of that (the same goes for lipstick if you're a woman).

I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep. This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I  get the shakes.I have to take the crappy stuff and get injected always more than 4 times always. Its infuriating

I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
