does anyone have one they would like to share that does not use bean flours?

I will change it a bit to make it low cal/low fat..finding gluten-free desserts that are not made with lots of butter and oil is hard!

thanks

This is the recipe I used for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It is listed as we did it for her other allergies so I will also list the alterations. It was a big hit here. Hope you enjoy!

This recipe calls for 1 egg.

I have been on a quest for cake for a long time. I have baked mostly flops. On a whim yesterday, I bought a mix from Cherrybrook Kitchen called Gluten Free Dreams Chocolate Cake Mix (Peanut Free, Dairy Free, Egg, Free, Nut Free). I made it into cupcakes and it's pretty good!

Tell me how the applesauce instead of Crisco or margarine works. I'll be interested in trying a lower fat option as well!

I might make this tomorrow if I don't have to work. Been craving cake and haven't found a recipe that doesn't sound too outlandish.

Just last week I made a chocolate cake from the recipe on the Hershey's Cocoa can. It is called Hershey's Perfectly Chocolately Chocolate Cake and there is a frosting recipe on it too. I used a gluten-free mix of rice flour, tapicoa starch & potato starch. I did not use Xanthan gum in the recipe. I don't have the recipe written out, but if you need it, I can type it up later. This cake turned out so good and no one even knew it was gluten-free!!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
