I want to know if there are any african americans out there that can tell me about any gluten free hair care products or makeup. I was just diagnosed on 25 January 07.

I don't know if this helps or not but noticed this range of makeup had darker shades for exotic skins. www.jrminerals.com

Welcome to the board! If you have a minute search for Nini (a poster on the board) as she has a "newbie" packet on her site.

Welcome Southern Girl. :)

I am about as white as they come, but I just read about some fabulous hair and skin softeners and products mainly geared toward African Americans, and the raves were so great (from Oprah, etc.), that I ordered some. The company is called Carol's Daughter (www.carolsdaughter.com) and the creator of the products uses all-natural oils and ingredients, without any gluten as far as I an discern. I am expecting my products any day, for hair and skin, can't wait. Check it out!

Bare Minerals is largely gluten-free (some of their glosses / lipsticks aren't, though), and works very well for darker complexions; my best friend is dark chocolate and when she wears it you can't tell that she's not bare - skinned! Same for me... I use the tan collection myself.

Pantene also has a product line for black hair.

Do you just need information on just makeup or on skincare as well?

Thanks for the list too makes me realise why I still get symptoms after cutting gluten , all that reading has just made sense to why I'm still struggling , thankyou Scott Adams very insightful , I've been baking to and there is xanthum gum in the flour , I understand now why I still have issues with that too, and ive had to cut dairy also , i had a terrible flare few months ago and my throat also was very irritable and I had sinuses issues all makes sence 👍
