Trouble Breathing?

Does anyone else seem to have trouble breathing at times? It seems sometimes like im not getting enough air. Usually it goes hand in hand with stomach discomfort and fatigue.

I had severe asthma as a child. Most of the time I am okay now. But if I get glutened, or eat rice, I will definitely be wheezing and can't catch my breath. Asthma has been associated with celiac disease.

Hi.

I still have lots of those symptoms, like unable to breathe and coghing. The GI doctor tells me the symsptoms are acid reflux. There were times I felt I was going to have a heart attack.

The acid reflux is now controlled after 5.5 weeks of been gluten-free and the breathing is better.

I hope you feel better soon.

I have air hunger, too, but mine's from the Lyme and Babesia.

Yup!!!! Before I was Dx'd they told me it was anxiety!!!! Now they know it's from the Gluten!!!!

      I agree with @trents, they should have run a total IgA. What was the normal range for the DGP IgA test? Different labs use different units thus have different normal ranges.

      Get your total IGA checked to make sure your celiac antibody test scores are trustworthy.

      I do eat 4 slices of wheat bread with almond butter. Yes it was a reference to my iron consumption.

      To give you a frame of reference for pretesting gluten consumption necessary to ensure valid antibody testing, here is the current recommendation for those who have been on a gluten free diet: The daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) for at least two weeks. Not sure why you mentioned eggs and chicken...

Not sure why you mentioned eggs and chicken. They are not sources of gluten. Was that in reference to dietary iron consumption?
