I have been taking .5 mg tablet of ativan at night to help me sleep for about a year. I want to quit takng them, and last night i skipped the dose and had a horrible time trying to sleep (racing mind). What is a good way to come off the small dose i am taking? Anything i could take to help me sleep and relax? I am also weaning offof 10mg of prozac that i was taking for the past 3 months. Any advice on how to minimize discomfort while coming off of these?

I would highly recommend seeking your doctors advise. Comming off two meds at the same time can be dangerous.

Do not do this on your own. That can be extremely dangerous. Your doctor may give you something in a different 'family' to help you through the withdrawl. He may also have other suggestions. Coming off of many drugs suddenly can cause seizures and other problems. It can be done though not pleaseant as a rule. I have done it. 2 weeks before I started the doctor assisted elimination diet I also started withdrawing from all my meds. Some were okay to stop suddenly but most were not. I have never had to add any back. Your doctor really needs to help you with this to be safe.

I agree with @trents, they should have run a total IgA.  What was the normal range for the DGP IgA test?  Different labs use different units thus have different normal ranges.

      Thanks for your assistance.

Get your total IGA checked to make sure your celiac antibody test scores are trustworthy.

I do eat 4 slices of wheat bread with almond butter. Yes it was a reference to my iron consumption.

To give you a frame of reference for pretesting gluten consumption necessary to ensure valid antibody testing, here is the current recommendation for those who have been on a gluten free diet: The daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) for at least two weeks. Not sure why you mentioned eggs and chicken. They are not sources of gluten. Was that in reference to dietary iron consumption?
