Baby Alive Doll

I want to get my daughter a Baby Alive doll. Does anyone know if the doll's food and drink mix is gluten free? Hasbro is horrible about answering e-mails and I'm never available to call them during their business hours.

They werent' around for a while. They just brought them back i think a few years ago. I want to get Tori her own baby when we have the baby. We're going to throw a big sister party for her and the (real) baby is going to give Tori two gifts... One will be her very own baby (so maybe i can get away with changing the real baby without her hovering over me) and the other will be better batter baseball. I don't know why, but she's been begging for that all summer. I'm dying to buy it for her to see the look on her face. She usually doesn't beg for toys, but this one she's been pretty insistent upon. My little girl...

That is great you are throwing her a big sister party. It will make her feel important when the baby arrives. It is sad when a new baby arrives and everyone is admiring the baby and forgetting the other child/children. She will be so excited when the baseball batter is given to her. When are you due again?

August 31st. I look like a blimp though, so maybe I'll go a little sooner. Throughout the pregnancy there has been question as to whether or not I'm further along than originally thought, but the ultrsounds and measurements all show me to be right on time with 8/31. Who knows. The baby dropped quite a bit the other day, so maybe I'm only a few weeks off.

Yeah, I always hate it when the older children get forgotten and left behind for that first month or so after a new baby is born. I'm trying to include her in everything I can. We're going to try to get most of the visitations out of the way while I'm still at the hospital so that when I come home we can focus more on Tori and not have a big to-do over the baby. Plus, I'll be in the hospital alone most of the time so it will be nice to have that extra company. Don will have to work and watch Tori the whole time I'm in the hospital except for when I'm giving birth. We're not even sure whether he'll be able to make it for that yet. It's going to be nuts.

I don't know about baby doll alive but I wanted to mention that there are Cabbage Patch dolls now that have "magic messy faces" when you "feed" them. There is no gluten, just cold water. I just bought one at Target. It was on clearance!

Hi, I don't know anything about Baby Alive (other than the fact that I loved mine when I was little) but when I was pregnant with my youngest I was also so large that everyone wondered the same thing. They were predicting a big baby, they said around 8-9 pounds. Well I went until my due date and had to have a c-section because he wouldn't move down. The reason I was so big was because he was 10 pounds 8 ounces and 22 and a half inches long!! He was like a little moose, forget about newborn diapers or 0-3 month clothes, he was born like a 3 month old. Thought I would give you something to think about .

All by birthed children were well over 9lbs. I had 2 c/s they were 9.9 and 8.15 and then gave birth at home to the last 2 9.1 and 9.5. And they were longies 20 to 21 1/2. The first c/s was b/c the baby was not coming down after 2 1/2 hours of pushing and he was in a bad position -sunny side up and head turned sideways.

It's all about Positioning, Optimal Fetal Position for birthing.

I had a Baby Alive as a child, the new ones look a little strange to me. I thought about buying my dd one, but she has WAY too many babies and she is only 3. Mommy has a baby doll buying problem!!! My dd LOVES babies. She is swiping all the diapers for her babies. LOL

I do not know about the gluten in the food, would your dd consume it? I might not worry about it if my child were old enough not to, but that also depends on the reactions of the skin contact which we don't have.

We don't have any skin contact reactions, but I don't allow any gluten into the house. I get sick really easily and having doll food around w/ gluten in it would definitely get me sick.

The baby isn't big at all. She's supposedly right on track to be a 7.5 lb. baby. My other daughter was 6 lbs. 7 oz. and she measured right on too. She was two weeks late also. I look like I'm going to have twins, but the ultrasound definitely just shows one normal sized little girl in there. I'm pretty tiny in stature, so I think I just look much bigger than most women. I'm 5'3" and small framed. I'm all belly. I was the same way with my daughter.
