So Frustrated - I Just Need To Vent - Maybe Get Advice...

So, some of you know how I've been struggling w/ my marriage. I don't have much of a desire for intimacy these days, and it's really grating on my DH. I feel like he just goes back and forth between frustration, anger and depression. I just go between frustration, guilt, and depression. I also haven't been working out, so I don't like the way I look, and get annoyed when he looks at me. I am going to the gym today, but it's such a process! I feel so torn between all the things in my life- my job, my diet/trying to enjoy eating, making a dent in all the housekeeping, being happy, and helping DH be happy. It's so overwhelming and frustrating. I always feel like I'm neglecting one area or another. And then there's the whole issue of religion, and me wanting to be more involved here, but DH wanting nothing to do w/ it. I feel as though I were out in the middle of the ocean, just trying to tread water in the hopes that someone will come along and rescue me. Help!

Sorry you are so overwhelmed and frustrated with juggling all of the things you have going in your life. Would it help if you could talk to somebody like a counselor? You mention religion, do you belong to a church? If so you can check with your church to see if they offer counseling services or could refer you to someone.

I am so sorry to hear this. Everyone does have hard time though. We are all here for you. If you ever just need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me. I am also kind of going through the same thing.

My husband doesn't want much to do with religion; but I know there is a God. I say silent prayers for help asking to made me strong enough to handle what I must or to help me with a problem. I usually get an answer, not necessary what I want.

There is much to frustrate you in this world today. Take care and good luck with your problems. It is always good to vent them.

I thank god everyday that my husband has been so understanding. I know what you mean when you say that you don't like the way you look. I feel the same way. Before going gluten free I felt like I really had a handle on my diet and staying fit, however, now it is all can do to simply just stay gluten free. It seems like I am constantly getting cross contaminated so I feel like I can just eat anything as long as it's gluten free. Of course this means I am not eating as well as I was before and now feel guilty at the end of everyday (gained almost 10 lbs). This has definitely been one of the greatest challenges of my life. I just try to remember to put myself in my husband's shoes once a day and I remember how much he must be going through as well. I try and thank him regularly for his support. He is wonderful! I only hope I could be as understanding if he had a similar situation.

Sorry you are going through all of this. IMO, go find a marriage councelor. Go to two or three beofre you both find one you like and get a "marriage adjustment". You have some major change that also affect his life. But I can tell you, if he is unsupportive now-deal with it now. If you are miserable now-deal with it now. You will both be happier in the end.

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
