Bed Quilts

I am looking for a quilt or a line of them that is long enough to be used as bedspread and omit the "shams." A quilt that is long enough to go over the bed pillows like a bedspread. Does this exist?

I don't like the shams as they attract dust (it looks pretty though).

any suggestions?

If you have a double bed, buy a king size. It will not come down to the floor, but usable for a bedspread.

I have a queen and use a king size comforter. I don't use a sham and it works well enough to cover for a bed spead.

I don't like shams because they are only dust mops. :(

It is more expensive, but you can get one made. Just go to your local farmers or craft market and talk to the people working the quilt booth.

If you already have a quilt you really like, just buy some cheap material to stitch on the end (that would be the part that you would be tucking in at the foot of the bed, so it wouldn't have to match), and that would then give you enough room at the top to go over the pillow.

Go to second hand stores - I have seen some wonderful quilts there. You need to open them all up to see what kind of condition they are in, but I have seen many that are simply adorable and very pretty. I think often people get just tired of what they have, and give it away. You may have to look for a while until you find one that is just right for you, but it would be worth the wait.

One of the best places to find quilts in good shape, is Deseret Industries - they have stores in many large and medium size cities. Look in the phone book for your area.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
