Why Am I Hurting Again?

I self diagnosed myself with celiacs about 5 months ago. Prior to this I was having severe right sided pain for 2 years and had the works done, but they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. When I possed Celiacs to my GI, he said "I am just doing this test for you because I don't think you have it". My blood test was negative. Although when I went gluten-free, I was doing great for a few months and had no pain, but recently for the past 31/2 weeks I have been in severe pain again. I am wondering if I got something, and my body is much more sensitive now that that I have been gluten-free? Has anyone ever been in pain this long? Is it normal?

I know a little girl on the Gluten-free Casein-free diet whom pays attention to not only foods but also environmental substances such as craft supplies, lotions... I just looked at a lot of the products I use such as: pantene shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, Bath & Body Works lotions and they all contain oats (avena sateva). Could I be more sensitive now and reacting to these products? Is it normal for people with celiacs to buy certain soaps, lotions, deoderant, avoid touching foods with gluten in them? Does anyone have suggestions as to where I can buy products at the store instead of the ones I am using if so?

My wedding is in a few weeks and then I will off on a cruise for my honeymoon in the Southern Carribean. I am trying to figure out what I can do to feel good for my wedding! Thank You.

Jessica

Jessica, yes I think it's a good chance that you are now more sensitive and react to things that weren't obvious before. The same thing happened to me and I've had the right-side pain off and on for 6 months now. Had every test known to doc and mankind. It comes and goes and gets worse with accidental glutenings. You should definitely throw out (or give away) any personal care product with wheat or oats (i've even seen barley in Clinique cosmetics). Some Pantene are ok, do a search here under the "products" forum.

Good luck and have a great wedding and honeymoon- pain free I hope!

They both do.  The peanuts add nutrients to the treat. Tootsie Roll: Sugar, Corn Syrup, Palm Oil, Condensed Skim Milk, Cocoa, Whey, Soy Lecithin, Artificial and Natural Flavors. But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
