I phoned Aussie today and was told by a customer rep that they can't guarantee the gluten-free status of any of their products, due to varying sources of raw materials.

I also phoned Schwarzkopf & Henkel, mfr of Thicker Fuller Hair shampoos, and was informed by a customer rep (Norma) that they do contain gluten.

Thank you for doing this, Pat. I have been on my own crusade lately to find safe products, and I had not contacted these two. I very much appreciate the information and the trouble you took to post it.

If we can kind of band together, we can really come up with lots of good, up-to-date information fast.

I am currently using the Aussie spray leave-in conditioner. The ingredients themselves looked ok. I was having major scalp issues when using gluten containing products before and haven't had any problems with this one. Maybe I'm lucky with it, although I don't use very much...or maybe it is CYA if the ingredients are ok. They do have some wheat protein in some of their products though I think.

Some Aussie products contain wheat and made my scalp all nasty.

The Aussie rep I spoke to said that the exact same product might contain gluten in one lot, but not in another. It's so frustrating!

I've been calling companies on an as-needed basis since my husband was diagnosed with celiac this past December. He has for years used Thicker Fuller Hair shampoo, but he thought I had once said Aussie was safe, so he proudly came home with a bottle of one of their shampoos several weeks ago. Since he was now almost out of the TFH, I figured I'd better call the mfrs. and put the matter to rest, once and for all. Of course, I'm kicking myself for not having had sense enough to do so while he was still using the TFH, but that's a whole other forum, I guess!

I'll certainly continue to post my "findings" on the appropriate board. It's wonderful that we have a search function and can plug in either a general category or a specific product to find any applicable posts. In fact, I did a search for Aussie and found conflicting reports; hence, my call yesterday.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
