Cooking Show

Hey, everyone! I used to get satellite and loved the cooking channel. Why don't the gluten-free flour companies or such sponsor a gluten-free cooking show?! I think one would very very much appreciated and welcomed! I know I'd feel that way--to have it "legitimatized" and out in the open (so non-gluten-free folks don't think it's just "health kick" thing!!) Has it been tried already or is there one and I don't know about it (we are thinking about getting satellite again). thanks!!

One which I saw advertised on this site is:

I don't know how it's doing though, and haven't seen it.

Thanks so much for the link! Their recipe for Mystery CHocolate Cake looks amazing. I don't think their show will get picked up by Food Network unless they make a lot of production changes, though--they talk to the "audience" as though the "audience" were a bunch of pre-schoolers rather than competent adults--very annoying!

oh my watching that was slightly painful. i get why they tell people to read labels and stuff since it is partly about educating those who don't suffer from celiac but...do they have to be so cheesy? it would be really awesome to see a good and fun gluten-free cooking show on the food network. i am also a HUGE food channel fan! i wonder how someone goes about pitching the idea to the food channel bigwigs??

Im sure they could get a show on there if a celiac foundation approaches them with the idea. I agree that it should be more of an entertaining show than the lonk above. They could even have travel sections in the show where the host goes around to differant gluten free resturants or factories and picks up on cooking techniques and recipes. I think it would be great to bring about celiac awareness, I am shocked at the amount of people in this country that have never heard of gluten intolerance!!! Theres no reason why it shouldnt be as well known as something like lactose intolerance. I was going to go into culinary arts and study nutition when I was deciding on what to do for college, now I'm woshing that I stuck with that idea!!!! I would have loved to make a celiac cooking show.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
