I used to buy graham cracker crumbs from Gluten Free Delights (I believe that was the name of it), and they have since closed their doors. I've been searching gluten-free websites trying to locate another place I can purchase them from but am having no luck.....has anyone been able to find them? can you tell me where you've seen them or where you've bought them from? Thanks SO much!!!!! :)

I have not tried to purchase ready made "graham" crackers since going gluten-free (I have not had much success finding ready made cookies and crackers that either taste good or don't contain soy). Bette Hagman's cookbooks have some good recipes for crackers and cookies, including "graham" crackers. If you are adventurous, you might want to check out some of those recipes.

I find graham crackers at Outside The Breadbox. They have a website. the shipping is a little expensive but everything they have is fantastic.

Gina,

I substitute almond flour for the graham cracker crumbs, and you can barely tell the difference if you bake the crust by itself until golden, then add the filling. It's easier to find that gluten-free graham cracker crumbs.

I guess I should've been more clear as to what I was going to use it for. I'm not using it as a pie crust. I make this 'no bake peanut butter candy' and graham cracker crumbs are used in the recipe. It ends up tasting just like a reices peanut butter cup when you're done with it. so i guess i could buy the crackers and grind them up if i have to, since i cant locate anyplace that sells the actual crumbs.

Try the Gluten-Free Trading Company....they have an AMAZING selection of things.

This Christmas we used gluten-free graham cracker crumbs from Celiac Specialties in our chocolate covered peanut butter balls - also very similar to a reese's cup. Delicious! Not cheap, but perhaps worth it if you place a bigger order to minimize the expense of shipping.

I use the graham cracker crumbs from Kinnikinnick. I used them in the peanut butter recipe that you are talking about and they worked great. They taste very much like regular graham cracker crumbs, but the actual graham style cookies they sell are very fragile and don't look at all like the regular cookies my kids used to eat. I find it easier to just buy the bag of crumbs for recipes since only one of my three will eat the cookies. Open Original Shared Link

I would only be wise to order from them if there are other things at their site that you want to buy. The shipping is a flat rate of $10 and it would not be nice to order one bag of $3.50 crumbs and end up paying 3 times that much for shipping. I order about $100 worth of stuff from them a month, since they are our main bread/pizza crust/donut supplier. So it is worth it to me! :D

God bless,

Mariann

Yes, I, too, have osteoporosis from years of malabsorption, too.  Thiamine and magnesium are what keep the calcium in place in the bones.  If one is low in magnesium, boron, selenium, zinc, copper, and other trace minerals, ones bone heath can suffer.  We need more than just calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.  Riboflavin B 2, Folate B 9 and Pyridoxine B 6 also contribute to bone formation and strength.   Have you had your thyroid checked?  The thyroid is important to bone health as well.  The thyroid uses lots of thiamine, so a poorly functioning thyroid will affect bone heath.

That sounds so very likely in my case! I will absolutely ask my doctor on my next bone check coming up in March... Thanks a lot!

Calcium levels as measured in the blood can be quite deceiving as the body will rob calcium from the bones to meet demands for it by other bodily functions. Also, supplementing with calcium can be counterproductive as it tends to raise gut pH and decrease absorption. More often than not, the problem is poor absorption to begin with rather than deficiency of intake amounts in the diet. Calcium needs an acidic environment to be absorbed. This is why so many people on PPIs develop osteoporosis. The PPIs raise gut pH. And some people have high gut PH for other reasons. Low pH equates to a more acidic environment whereas high pH equates to a more basic (less acidic) environment.

Kind thanks for all this valuable information! Since my Folate was/is low and also my Calcium, there IS a chance I am low in B vitamins... My doctor only measured the first two, oh and Zinc as I has twisted her arm and guess what, that was mega low too. So who knows, until I get myself tested properly, what else I am deficient in... I did a hair mineral test recently and it said to avoid All sources of Calcium. But this is confusing for me as my Ca is so low and I have osteoporosis because of this. It is my Adjusted Ca that is on the higher side and shouldn't be. So am not sure why the mineral test showed high Ca (well, it was medium in the test but relative to my lowish Magnesium, also via hair sample, it was high I was told). But anyway, thanks again for the VitB download, I will look into this most certainly!

Hello good afternoon, I was wondering if anyone has ever brought their anti-allergy pills? I have been wanting to use their Cetirizine HCI 10mg. They are called HealthA2Z and distributed by Allegiant Health.I’m also Asthmatic and these allergies are terrible for me but I also want to be sure they don’t have any sort of gluten compound.    I have tried calling them but to no avail. Has anyone ever used them? If so, did you had any problems or no problems at all?    thank you
