Disneyworld With Multiple Food Allergies

I did a search of "Disneyworld" and found a lot of great tips and suggestions for dining gluten free, but I'm worried because I do have multiple allergies - gluten, dairy, soy, citrus, canola oil, cashews, sunflower seeds, flax, and shellfish (except crab). Anyone else w/ similar issues had a good experience at Disneyworld. I think we're staying at Port Orleans.

Oh, we are also staying in Destin for a couple days if anyone has anything to share about an experience there.

I think your best bet is to call ahead and ask to speak to chefs at several of the places that you are thinking of attending. They'll be able to give you a good idea of how well they'll be able to accomodate you. Also, all Disney restaurants in the parks have ingredient lists for every item. I imagine that you'll be able to find food. I've only been gluten free at Disney, but I found that everywhere we went they asked me if I had other food allergies and seemed willing to accomodate almost anything.

I have the email address of the contact who helped us at Disney. My daughter also has multiple food allergies.... and we were helped, greatly, by one person in particular. I'll PM you. =)

They will send you 4-5 documents with food allergy information, locations on where to get counter service foods, and the form to fill out regarding your allergies. Also, when you make dining reservations, they'll make note of your allergy and also give you a phone # to call if you want to call ahead and speak to a chef.

We're going September 13-20, have fun!!

awesome! thanks for sharing this with me :)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
