Gagging?

OK...so I'm pretty new at this. I'm recently diagnosed and am trying extremely hard to be gluten free (not the easiest thing in the world to do!), but I am finding myself gagging constantly?? Is anyone else experiencing this? Or could this be a separate issue altogether? I don't have to have anything in my mouth at all - I'm sitting here at work typing and gagging for no apparent reason?!?!

I personally believe that gluten not only damages the small intestine, but any tissue it comes into contact with. Perhaps you have suffered some sort of damage that has effected your gag reflex. I suggest you go see an ENT (ears, nose and throat) specialist for an examination to ensure something else isn't going on there.

I don't really gag that much but I definitely am nauseated a lot more since going gluten-free. I think my body is trying to adjust to this huge change. So far I'm dealing with it pretty well. We'll see if it subsides....

I also have a problem with gagging but I'm not sure if it has something to do with gluten contamination or something else altogether.

My gagging began with my symptoms about 6 years ago and has disapeared over the last month or so, I'm 100 days gluten-free. It was worst in the morning, coughing and when brushing my teeth and got worse and worse as time went on. It was one of the symptoms that really bothered me at the end. My gagging was clearly related to injesting gluten.
