Lo Estrin 24 Fe

Hi.

I am currently taking Ortho Tri Cyclen for the past 7 years.

Recently I have been having breakthrough bleeding with some other problems and my gyno wants me to change birth controll pills (sorry for the info).

He is wanting me to change over to Lo Estrin 24 Fe (brand name not generic one).

*Has anyone tried this pill?

*Is it Glute Free?

Due to time zones I always seem to miss the hours the manufacture is open (ended up leaving a message today) and they do not have an e-mail.

If anyone has any information on this birth controll pill please let me know.

Thank you very much!

EDIT: I did look at the gluten free drug list website.. It is on there but I was not sure if it was current. Thanks

I've been taking it since December and am not having any problems. Previously I was on Ortho Novum 7/7/7. Best part of taking this particular pill is that I haven't had a period since starting it :D It is saving me money if you know what I mean! My internist told me 13% of all women who go on this pill stop having periods. She says the younger women tend to get upset by that "side effect", but as I'm 47, I'm happy to not have the monthly hassle.

I've taken it. It's gluten-free, but I have major issues with breakthrough bleeding as well, and this pill didn't do me any good. But everyone's different, so it's certainly worth a try.

Thank you for both of your replies :)

I appreciate the information you have. I have never heard of this brand before and wasn't really thinking about gluten free when my dr was talking... so much being said during my appt I didn't think about it being gluten free till later at night.

My dr was mentioning that I might possibly have endometriosis. He is having me change pills first and re see him in 3 months if things don't improve then possibly do a Laparoscopy. Originally my appt was supposed to be for this coming Friday but I was able to get in sooner (so I still have Fridays appt)... My husband and I are thinking about keeping the appt and re-talking about what he thinks is going on and what my chances are of this being a birth controll thing vs endometriosis. So many things were being talked about the other day that when I got home my husband was asking me questions and I was wondering about stuff as well.

Thanks again.

I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.

I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

I have a One Pot and decided to start using it one day. I was hesitant at first making my own yogurt, but was surprised at how easy it was. I like mine better too.

Because I spend so much time reading every word on all food packaging, I personally would greatly appreciate it if there was one common gluten-free symbol written in large-enough text, and always located in the same place. That alone will make shopping easier and faster. I dread having to buy packaged food. Thank you very much for asking,

I do believe that people are under so much pressure up have a sleeping  pattern ,  with working and how households work these days , but in reality there is no wrong or right at to sleep , I believe your neighbour showed this with such a long life , I do exactly the same  at night many times so I hope I live into my nineties also , I have found one thing in life your body knows what's best so good to listen to wat it needs however unconventional that maybe 🤗
