Weird Symptoms, Any Ideas?

Today I had something happen that has happened atleast 2 other times to me within the last year or so. I will start feeling down emotionally, then after that I will become very fatigued (comes on quickly) and feel cold/chills. It is like I am coming down with a virus. I usually have to take a nap and pile tons of blankets on me to stay warm. About an hour and a half later the symptoms begin to wear off. It is possible that it coincides with being glutened because it seems to me that it has happened at times when I have been accidentally glutened, but not every time I get accidentally glutened. Any thoughts?

That's definitely part of my reaction when I get glutened  I've also started getting itchy little bumps on my hands. Grrrr.... I hate how irritable it makes me.

So maybe it is related to being glutened then. Hmmmm. Thanks! :)

Hi Sarah......I know exactly how you feel, I have had these feelings as well....twice last week, I came home from work...felt fine....had dinner....also had about six pieces of licorice....then I am on the couch tired and very cold (almost like getting the flu) the other night it was a couple of handfuls jujubes (I think)....bundle under a blanket and have on and off sleep....after about hour I begin to feel better - other times I feel very weird, lightheaded weak and in general just not feeling well - again after 40-75 minutes....begin to feel better - I am currently trying to figure out what the heck is going on....is it food intolerance, celiac, IBS......doctor thinks IBS, but I am not so sure...very confusing since many of the same symptoms relate to different ailments - do you have any other symptoms like stomach ache\bloating

I know that Twizzlers contain wheat. Are you sure the licorice and Jujubes are gluten-free?

Hi,

Yes, your experience sounds like mine. I do get bloating very often. I would say I get bloated, stomach distended at the minimum twice a week. I often look like I am pregnant! If I eat anything with milk in it, I get stomach pain. So I don't eat anything with gluten, or milk in it. And lately, it seems if I have a glass of wine (especially on an empty stomach) I get horrible stomach pain that keeps me up all night until I fall asleep of exhaustion. For a while I was being treated for a possible ulcer. It seemed to get better and then after a few months of no symptoms, I tried having a glass of wine again and bam! Terrible pain. It is sooo frustrating when I am avoiding gluten and milk and still having digestive issues.

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
