Entrolab Which Stool Test To Get?

I want to get one of these done and I dont have the $369 or the $250 right now to spend on the full panel tests. So I was thinking of doing either the Gluten Sensitivity or the Sensitivity to Tissue Transglutaminase, which one would be better to help me determine if gluten is affecting her. Her blood work came back negative and the biopies are negative. The only thing on her biopies that was not normal to my eye was this:

Esophagus at 15cm:

Spuamous epithelium with dilated congested lymphatic channel.

Operative Findings

LES at 23 cm. EGD Grossly nl.

Which the GI said was fine.

I want to go Gluten Free but I want to get all the testing I can get done while she is still eating it.

Any input on the EntroLab tests and which one would be best for me to do without spending my husbands truck payment. :P

Thanks

Janelle

There is a place on the Enterolab site that allows you to contact them by email. The words are limited, but adequate to say what you need to. Please email them with your question. They know their tests inside and out and will be able to tell you exactly which one is best for your particular need. They have always been very quick to answer me this way.

You can also certainly call them, but I found that they answered quickly enough by email and I could explain it better in an email.

I hope you get the answers you need.

The gluten sensitivity test will tell you if your child is sensitive to gluten. The transglutamase test tells you if your child is absorbing food, I think. Which would you rather know more? I think if it were me I would want to know what exact thing was bothering him so I would do the gluten test. You can tell if food is being absorbed by growth and observable characteristics. I posted my son's results on my blog, if that interests you. The link is in my profile. Good luck deciding!

If you have insurance, you may want to see: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=21847

Even more specifically, I believe the transglutaminase test tells you whether or not you are having an actual autoimmune response to gluten, which can lead ultimately to small intestine damage and celiac. So I'm not sure which of the two tests would best stand alone or should be done first since you can only afford one. That's why I would still ask Enterolab for clarity on it. :)

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
