Possible Wheat Containing Cookie In My Midel Bag

Hi, I am new to this forum and I wanted to find out if anyone experienced what I did. After we ate an entire bag of Midel Pecan Gluten Free Cookies I found a black octagon shaped cookie or possibly cracker (I am pretty sure it was a cookie).

Has anyone found another kind of cookie in a Midel bag?

Has anyone seen a Midel product with a black octagon shape?

I checked out their website and did not see the product. I also looked at the Panos Brands website to see what other brands they have beside Mi Del and could not find one with that black octagon shaped cookie. The cookie was small, probably bite size.

I emailed the company and I am hoping that they reply soon so I can know what it was.

The company states on their website and on the package that they are produced in a facility that processes wheat, so I am guessing that the cookie contained wheat, as none of their gluten free products look like that cookie.

We did not have any noticeable signs of getting sick or gluten exposure.

If anyone has any information about this, please reply to this post.

Thanks!

Depending on how big it was, they do make a gluten free chocolate-caramel bite-size cookie, or it could just be a burnt cookie too.

Definitely NOT a burnt cookie. It was small black and octagon shaped. It looked like the same kind of dough that is used for an oreo type cookie, however it wasn't shaped like one. It was a bite sized, hexagon shape.

I looked on the Mi Del site, and also their parent company Panos Brands. None of their products listed look like that cookie. None of the gluten free products look like that cookie in the slightest bit.

I have emailed them and am waiting a response.

As far as I know and I have made severalonline searches, celiac disease disease has not been recognized as a cause of migraines or any eye problems. What I wrote must have been confusing.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
