Help Please Normal Ttg Levels When gluten-free

So, I saw the Gastro yesterday for a follow up from my endoscopy, which was normal except for reflux, a polyp and a hiatal hernia (okay then, normal biopsy wise).

My blood results were:

Antigliadin IgA came back normal (1.3, with a reference range of 0-10)

as did the Antigliadin IgG (.5, with a rr of 0-10), and

the tTG, IGA (1 with a rr of 0-3),

*but*, he still thought this was argument for me to be gluten-free *because* I was largely gluten-free at the time and thus my tTG level should be 0. Does that jive with what you all understand?

I told him that I had been about 95% gluten-free before the blood test (I was avoiding d/t my dd's positive EnteroLab results and my suspicion that I may have Gluten issues), and that prompted him to tell me that he believes I should be strictly gluten-free.

So he went from implying that it wasn't necessary, due to the normal biopsy results (which occurred after 2.5 weeks on Gluten, maybe the equivalent of 2 slices a day), after being 95% gluten-free since July to recommending full gluten avoidance.

Thoughts?

as many folks will probably tell you; or you can see from other posts....

your blood test results are not indicative of celiac disease -- since they can only (ok, mostly) be positive IF YOU ARE EATING GLUTEN.

i'm not sure why your doctor continued with the tests if you were gluten free.

that was pretty silly.

You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
