Still Not Feeling Better

Hello,

I have been diagonsed since August 2008...however not really as strict as should have been until recently (about a month or so). I suffer from anxiety...the kind where i am worried all the time about disease and dying ( i can laugh at myself because every ache in my body I tune into and think I am dying Godforbid of an illness.) My otehr symptoms are weight gain (since being diagnosed about 10 punds) sinus infections ( polyps), still very gassy, muscle cramps, and sometimes fatique and recurring yeast infections. I also can't remeber the last time a slept the whole emtire night straight through. My question is ... DOes this sound normal for someone with Celiac? Or should i go yet again back to the dr and have more tests done.

BTW, I have MFTHR gene mutation and take viatmn Metanx for it, and I am Viatmn D defciciant ( recently started a cal, mag, d, viatmn. I also take xanex on an as needed basis. PLease help and let me know that I am not alone and these are normal celiac symptoms... thanks i n advance

The weight gain is really upsetting me... I am eating very healthy and work out regualry and having trouble losing. :( PLease help

I've had unexplained weight gain for several years. It got worse the past few years...I'm 40-50 pounds overweight...yet I have always eaten a healthy diet (just went gluten-free 14 days ago) and exercise ALOT and am very active every day (early morning to about 3-4pm when I bloat and run out of steam). I am hopeful that removing gluten will eventually heal my digestive system and at least stop the weight gain and relieve my other symptoms.

I also have had trouble sleeping for years...more than a few times I thought I had depression...but after very careful examination over the past year I KNOW that I got depressed from being so sick, not got sick from being depressed. I had mentioned this theory to docs over the years, but they either didn't have enough time to try to find out the cause or were dismissive with a ya right - you eat right and get lots of exercise look that showed how much they disbelieved me.

Some of those symptoms can be celiac disease related. I've recently been reading about magnesium deficiencies and increased my intake dramatically. It's improved my sleeping a lot. It is also supposed to help anxiety. This link can show you some interesting info about it.

All I can say is this site is great!

From their website I see "organic barley leaf powder" as an ingredient. Keep in mind that the gluten is in the kernel, and not in the leaves. https://drinkag1.com/about-ag1/ingredients/ctr

Before the rise of social media we were well known by a lot of doctors and were recommended by many, especially our Safe & Forbidden Lists, but as doctors get younger and younger this is probably not happening as much as before.

Thanks Scott I will definitely check my vitamins and minerals to see what I am missing so then I can supplement. I was very concern about my Meniers syntoms and i tryed to find some alive. Now im just realizing that my celiac is provably the root cause of my Meniers none of the 12 doctors I saw told me anything about this.  This web site is so helpful, thanks to people like you we can get answers.

Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to rib pain. Chest pain stemming from the ribs ccould be costochondritis, which involves inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribs to the breastbone. This pain can range from mild to severe, potentially mimicking heart attack symptoms, and is often worsened by breathing or movement. Other potential causes include muscle strain, rib fractures, or even referred pain from other conditions.  It will also help to chose vegetables low in omega 6.
