Bavaria Mills

Yipeee! I took a trip to my local "hippy market" (as my dad calls them), and they have started carrying a full line of Bavaria Mills gluten-free baked goods! I was able to get a frozen pie crust and a box of muffins. I have had the pie crust before (they carry it in a couple of health-food stores near my mom's house, but that's 2+ hours away); but this was my first time trying the muffins. They were delicious! Even my non-gluten-free kids loved them. They also carried all sorts of other products, but I didn't buy them all at once. :)

The muffins are both gluten-free and Soy Free. They were not entirely dairy-free, because the very last ingredient on the list was something like "goat milk electrolyte" but unless someone were crazy-allergic to milk, I doubt that would cause an issue.

I understand Bavaria Mills makes a gluten-free pizza crust, too, and that this is the crust that is used at Garlic Jim's for gluten-free pizzas (at least some locations?). I didn't look for pizza crust at the store, but I imagine they've got it.

*happy dance*

I'm most excited about the pie crust. I can make my own muffins, but I really just don't have the patience to roll out pie crusts every time I want a pie. For some reason, I'm just really bad at it.

Just had to share. :)

I wish they had a website. I hope they have some products that aren't rice-based, anyway. If that is the same crust Garlic Jim's uses, you'll love it. It's really good! Too bad I can't eat it more often.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
