because I heard that it was really good and low and behold the bread fell as soon as I took it out of the oven! :( Have any of you experienced this? What did you do wrong and how did you fix it? I've heard that it's everything from too much liquid in a recipe, to too much rising time..

I've been experimenting with breads lately, and I have to agree with the "too much liquid" and the "too much rising time". When my bread falls, I reduce the liquid a little bit (maybe 1/4 cup) and try it again. Also, the bread should rise just barely over the top of the pan.

Another trick that can prevent falling is to take your bread immediately out of the pan and lay it on its side on a wire rack to cool. While it's cooling, switch sides every few minutes or so.

Good luck!

If it fell when you took it out of the oven, that sounds like it had just finished baking, and was still very hot. So in addition to the other suggestions, you might also try leaving it in the oven to cool slowly for a few minutes. Most ovens have a door that can be set slightly ajar, for this very purpose.

try removing 3TBSP of liquid. very simple fix for most.

I make this bread often (a version of Laurie150 on recipezaar.com). If you add 1/2 cup of any gluten-free flour (brown rice, sorghum, garfava, teff, amaranth) it should not fall.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
