Target

A new Target store just opened in my town. I've heard lot's of good things about this store but have never been in one yet.

I think I've read in the past that some people have bought some gluten-free food there and I am going to check out the store this week but want to know what to look for. I tried to find the thread but couldn't.

Any suggestions?

Roo

There is a supertarget that I visit on occasion and here is what I buy.

Amy's Frozen Dinners

Envirokidz Cereal

Thai Kitchen Products

Do you think the things are cheaper there?

The Target near me is not a Super Target and it has limited food. However, I do buy Natures Made vitamins there, they are gluten-free (they say free of gluten on the label). I've also found these at Walgreens and Raley's/Bel Aire stores.

Things are pretty cheap there - I find a lot of health care products there are cheaper than other places, also toilet paper, detergents, etc. Clothes are pretty decently priced, too. Some things are more pricey - definitely a little more pricey than WalMart. But many good brands and quality products.

The Amy's meals are cheaper, but less of a selection than the health food store where I sometimes buy them.

There's a kind of rosemary & garlic frozen potato that I've purchased at Target; it says "gluten free" right on the label.

I don't get my food usually at Target but when I go to stores like that I like to check to see if they have any gluten free products and if they do I'll write a comment and say that I really like them having a gluten free selection and ask them to expand it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find some gluten free food there :D

I don't buy food at target because my local one got a rat infestation, so it is not very good to eat their food. And I have never seen Amy's in that store.

That's gross, but doubt that ALL targets have rats!!

The Amy's are way cheaper at the target that I go to. Gotta love saving money.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
