Celiac Disease Noob Xd

So a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and a bunch of other stuff I can't even remember XD. When I found this information out, the first thing I thought of was, "There has to be a forum on it!!!" XD and there is!!!

I'm relieved that they finally know what it was....but at the same time I have had this my whole life. I remember being a kid and not wanting to go to kindergarden let alone preschool because I always had the "runs".

I live a little over 2 hours away from the Mayo Health clinic in Rochester, MN. I've had tons of tests done my whole life...and had more colonoscopies than all four of my grandparents put together XD. They couldn't find out what was wrong with me, because they always thought it was in my head, and I would cause myself to have diarrhea from stress and depression. However, the whole reason why I had stress and social anxiety was because I didn't want to be out in public and get hit with diarrhea hahah so that sucked.

Anyways I wont rant on and on about my life XD. However, i'm just frustrated that it took them my whole school life wasting all this money on tests. To in the end send in one stool sample and get all these results back that I do in fact have Celiac disease and that my body is allergic to tons of different food. Eggs being the MOST. On the chart it shows 600 as high..and i'm 2892 O:

So now I just need to think of...since this caused me to fail college...now what do I do ><. Atleast now I can live a

Congratulations on finally solving the puzzle after all these years. If you do much reading around here, you will find you are far from alone. Most of us have spent years trying to convince doctors that there is nothing wrong with our heads but something seriously wrong with our bodies. It is incredibly frustrating and wasteful of medical resources.

Sounds like you will have quite a few dietary changes to make if you are intolerant of other things as well (again, many of us are). You will find a recipe and cooking thread on here which should be of some help, and of course if you just google for a recipe listing the things you want it to be free of, you should come up with some choices. I do hope you like to cook

Feel free to drop in and ask questions any time.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
