Nasty subject.....sorry.

Right now because of other digestive disorders on top of the celiac, I have been on GAPS diet for 11 weeks. I haven't been able to digest carbs other than carrot and garlic juices, but can eat chicken, lamb the broth and oils like nuts, cod liver oil, etc... Am on my first week of a little kraut juice, about 4 tsp. throughout the day.

The last 3 days my poop has turned bright green and I was wondering if this was a good thing or not. Hate running to the doctor for every little thing.

Forgive me for asking a silly question- have you been eating green things? I had that happen when I was eating asparagus..... :blink:

Is it with Diarrhea? If so you could Salmonella - can cause greenish stool (usually diarrhea)

I thought I read that green means it ran through the large intestine faster than normal. Dr. Oz has a Poop Primer on his website.

My complete diet for the last weeks is listed on my original post. That's why I was stumped.

I thought I read that green means it ran through the large intestine faster than normal. Dr. Oz has a Poop Primer on his website.

When our dd was a baby baby she had bright green (like shamrock green! very startling) poop in her diaper for a few weeks. At that time the ped told us it just meant her food was going through her system faster than normal, and not to worry. This was also the ped her told us she was just "colicky" and had a "temperament" the whole time she was reacting to gluten in breastmilk for two years before her celiac diagnosis, so take that for whatever it's worth!?

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

      We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
