May I please have a bit more clarification on how "Reputation" works? First, does every number represent one vote on one post? Since you can only vote a post up or down, I am assuming "Neutral" means that you haven't reached some critical mass required to move to the next level. How many votes are required to leave "Neutral," and what are the next levels?

Perhaps this hasn't even been determined yet, since I haven't seen anyone who isn't neutral. I admit I would be unlikely to care about this if I wasn't the only person I have seen with a negative number, and the only one with a red bar under my name. My posts are pretty much entirely sharing my experiences. I have gained so much from others' experiences here - not just moral support but things which have propelled my son enormously on his path to good health, and I share in hopes of doing the same for others. So a negative vote doesn't strike me as a simple disagreement - how can you disagree with someone's experiences? And if you do disagree, isn't an explanation more helpful than a vote? Jestgar, thank you for the kind thought that someone just hit a wrong button. I'll hold that thought, just wish I could use it to erase the red bar.

That was my first thought as well--someone hit it trying to reply.

I just voted you up one. What did that do?

I think the administrator would put a stop to anyone picking at someone. The mods are good about keeping things in check on here.

I hope this doesn't bother you too much! :)

This is so exciting. Your vote put a little green one at the bottom of my post. AND now I am a neutral 3. Which raises more questions. Could your vote have been worth 4 points, to take me from -1 to 3? There was only your reply and a O under views. OR, maybe the GFFBFs (gluten free forum board fairies) took mercy on me. If so, thank you!

I think it was just a feature that came with the new format. It has meaning, only if you want it too. :)

wierd. in my own profile page it shows one and neutral with green behind it. but in my posts, it shows zip.

so I am confused too, but that might be because I am new too

Thank you. I must have misinterpreted a study or something. Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated. Almost three years into my celiac diagnosis and I'm still learning new things.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
