you have to read the ingredients. Different recipes and different brands have different answers.

Edys/Dreyers ice cream has a list of which ice creams have gluten & its the ones with the obvious ingredients like cookie dough or brownie pieces. I have found from reading ice cream containers that most seems to be gluten-free, especially the simple flavors. Probably wouldn't get it any where they scoop it out as cones tend to break & fall in. They only rinse the scoopers off between scoopings.

There really are a lot of calories out there that we can still consume. ;)

YES TONS of Ice cream is gluten-free. You can eat the soft serve at Dairy Queen like the peanut buster parfait (my favorite) or flavors at Baskin Robbins and Ben and Jerry's! Make sure if it is scooped ice cream they use a clean scooper and change their gloves, avoid machines that mix multiple items like (blizzard machines). You have to look up the flavors and brands but even generics have gluten-free options like Publix brand, Safeway, and Lucerne. Before you go shopping or eating check websites and print out flavors that are gluten free! Another favorite of mine is Edy'd Fun Flavors Reese's Peanut Butter CUP!!!

I found that even gluten free ice cream makes me sick. I think it is the gar gum. I can eat soft ice cream though at stands without getting ill. Just watch what you put on it and if you get a blizzard like treat have them whip the mixer arm off because the person before you may have had something gluteny in their treat. I leave a tip so far no one has complained.

I found a good home ice cream replacement is italian ice.

Bryers is an Unilever Product and will also list all forms of gluten.

Just read the label. ;)

Usually, but you have to read labels. Brownie, cookie, cheesecake, and cookie dough flavors usually have wheat in them. Chocolate chips and fudge are usually OK.

I agree that Breyer's is really good about labeling and the labels are pretty simple too. I also eat some of the Ben & Jerry's, Haagen-Dazs, and Safeway flavors.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
    • Francis M
We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
