Another Bread Machine Problem

Hi,

Okay, I'm going to get a handle on this bread machine if it's the last thing I do. My last loaf didn't rise and I was wondering if it was because I put the sugar on top of the yeast? Anyone?

I have only made 2 loaves so far, but both worked. The directions that came with mine say that you have to add the indgrendinest in a spefic order, or it will not. This is what I do...

First mix all the wet ingredients up in a mixing bowl. Then pour them in to the machine.

Next mix all the dry ingredinents EXCEPT YEAST in a mixing bow, then pour it on top of the wet stuff, but do not mix.

Then pour the yest on top of the dry stuff in such a way that it does not get wet at all.

Close it up, turn it on, and thats it. I assume most machines work about the same, so maybe that will help you....

I made my first gluten-free loaf in my new breadmaker last night! The top did cave in just a little bit, but I think it was due to too much water. Anyway, I followed the order the instructions for my breadmaker gave: wet ingredients first, then salt, sugar, and other dry ingredients, then make a small hole in dry ingredients for yeast to sit in. The instructions said to put the salt in first before the other dry ingredients so it wouldn't react with the yeast prematurely. I added all of my ingredients one at a time directly to the bread machine pan - no mixing before they went in. Hope that helps!

Some of those bread machine maker are tempermental. I don't even use them anymore. What I have used is recipes from the Roben Ryberg book called The Gluten Free Kitchen. This has been the best book that I've bought and I have alot of them already but her book is easy to read and simple and breads, cakes, pies, and everything comes out good. She just doesn't use a breadmaker.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
