Gluten Free Toddler Food?

In making my house gluten free I have to figure out some gluten-free finger foods for my 13 month old.

Cheerios, graham crackers, and Goldfish crackers are no longer options.

Can anybody give me ideas of tasty snacks for a toddler on the go?

How about raisens, gluten-free pretzels, cut up cheese and fruit and gluten-free Chex.

I like those suggestions. Another thing my toddler really likes are Nut thins and Glutino breakfast bars. There are also some really good animal cookies. I thi k Envirokidz might make them(?). Plus, Panda Puffs (if you're giving peanut products) and Gorilla Munch or any gluten-free Envirokidz cereal.

I have a 21 month old so I am always looking for gluten-free kid-fun foods. We really like the Chex and EnviroKids cereals. We recently found cute chocolate and vanilla mini cookies that are in the shape of bunnies by Annie's...very similar to a teddy graham. Also, Orgran's makes itty bitty bears that are similar to teddy grahams except they are gluten-free. Annie's fruit snacks are also shaped like bunnies but they seem to be a lot softer than the other brands, much safer for baby to chew. And, I think, Gerber Graduates fruit snacks, lil crunchies, & yogurt melts are gluten-free. Schar's has a cheesy cracker that are in different shapes (circle, triangle, square) and they are really tasty! My son and I also like LaraBars. They are sometimes found with the protein bars in the health section of our grocery store.

We also do alot of naturally gluten free snacks (cheese, yogurt, fruit, veggies w/ hummus as dip)but it is nice to have options that can fit into the diaperbag, not have to be refrigerated, and are fun for the kids. I also have a 7 yr old and he likes having similar snacks that his friends/classmates have (and I don't blame him).

Good luck! And enjoy that baby! :-)

Thanks for all the great ideas! I am excited to give my baby good food and not be so paranoid about him getting full of gluten and then loving me up as only sweet babies can. :)

I think even my older kids will enjoy the food that was mentioned. I'll pass these ideas on to my brother for him to give my gluten-free nephew.

I usually give my boys:

raisins

gluten-free pretzels

cheese

fruit

fruit snacks or roll ups (check but most are gluten-free)

popcorn

Glutino crackers

corn tortilla chips (usually Mission)

chex

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
