This is going to sound nuts, but before going gluten free did any of you feel like you were high all the time. Not like "I just smoked a big doobie high" but just sort of spaced out. I was off gluten for a week and a half and felt somewhat better, then I ingested some this past weekend and today and yesterday I've felt spacey and my stomach sounds like its declaring war on itself. Mild pain tho and some semi-diarrhea.

Gluten and casein both are known to have an 'opiate' effect on the brain. That is why many have had sucess treating ADHD and autism spectrum disorders with a gluten-free/Casein Free diet.

slightly... not really high.. but spaced out and VERY MUCH ENJOYING MY FOOD... i also get extreme pleasure while eating cheese... which i have not been able to get off of.. still addicted.

it also felt like a drug, cause u cant stop- ie: if i was to eat a bowl of fettucini bolognese (real gluten pasta)- id prolly get up to fix 3 more bowls.. but now with rice pasta- i may fix a 2nd bowl.. but thats it

I really noticed more when I was accidentally getting slipped some gluten. It's like my brain feels a ZING! Then I feel like eating the rest of the food that has the gluten is like sAtisfyinG the munchies, THE BEST THING I EVER TASTED! WOW!

I told my husband if I ever start acting like that again when I 'm eating to take it away, because it has gluten.

I'm talking like when I stopped gluten I felt pretty good. Like a dodo I ate some this weekend and now today my stomach is making crazy noises, I have D and I feel like I'm spacey and going cross eyed

That's a pretty common reaction to getting glutened. It will pass but it may take a few days.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
