Someone sent a comment to my profile, but it is pending my approval. I don't know how to view it.

If it's the same one I got from "love..." it's junk. The messages were being removed. I'll put one on yours ( a nice one not junk) & see if you can see it.

Those comments have been removed--a spammer got through earlier today.

Good to know. Thanks :D

I am having a similar problem. It says I have 2 new "personal conversations". When I went to view them last night I saw that they were not questions directed at me specifically, but appear to be from a lost new member trying to get help from the board. I can't figure out how to view the entire meassage or how to reply to this person to let them know they posted their questions to my profile instead of the board. I tried to just delete the messages but it still says I have 2 unread. Can anyone help me either delete these or can someone transfer her questions to the board? Also is there a way to just make it so no one can post messages to my profile? I have had this problem before and I can't figure out what to do about it....

In the upper right corner of the page, you will see your user name above the search bar. To the right of it is a downward pointing triangle. Click it to access a menu.

To see your messages, choose "Messenger" which is the fifth one on the list. Once there, you can read, reply to, or delete messages. You can also send them from there.

To disable (or re-enable) Personal Messenger, select the second option, "My Settings." Click on the "Notification Options" button on the left side of the screen. In the Privacy Settings section, check the box "Disable my personal messenger." Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "Save Changes."

I have no way to see what those messages are, or who sent them. If you want to send that information to me via a personal conversation, you can. Do that BEFORE you disable your personal messenger.

Thank you, but now they are gone now. I'm not sure what happened--Perhaps they were deemed spam or perhaps I was successful in deleting them somehow. I guess I am confused because I am familiar with using private messages on other forums but these seemed to be messages posted on my profile where anyone viewing my profile could see them. I wouldn't mind getting private messages from memebrs that want to ask me questions but I can't figure out how to reply to these profile messages. So I guess I will just disable all messages from here on.

Comments to your profile are different from personal messages. You currently have two, the most recent being from April 7.

The settings for those are in your profile. Go to your profile, and click on "Edit my Profile."

To disable comments completely, uncheck the box "Enable Profile Comments." You also have the option to approve comments before they are visible to other members, if you so choose. In any case, you have the option to delete any comment.

Yes, these were comments to my profile, not personal messages. I had my setting set up so that I had to approve those message before anyone could post. There were two new messages that someone tried to add yesterday. I did not approve them but tried to delete them last night. they were stillt here this mornign when I posted this but now theya re gone. Perhaps it was just a delay...I don't know. I am just going to disable posting to my profile I think because people keep trying to post there as if they think they are on the message board forum. Thank you for the help.

You've done an excellent job of meticulously tracking the rash's unpredictable behavior, from its symmetrical spread and stubborn scabbing to the potential triggers you've identified, like the asthma medication and dietary changes. It's particularly telling that the rash seems to flare with wheat consumption, even though your initial blood test was negative—as you've noted, being off wheat before a test can sometimes lead to a false negative, and your description of the other symptoms—joint pain, brain fog, stomach issues—is very compelling. The symmetry of the rash is a crucial detail that often points toward an internal cause, such as an autoimmune response or a systemic reaction, rather than just an external irritant like a plant or mites. I hope your doctor tomorrow takes the time to listen carefully to all of this evidence you've gathered and works with you to find some real answers and effective relief. Don't be discouraged if the rash fluctuates; your detailed history is the most valuable tool you have for getting an accurate diagnosis.

In this case the beer is excellent, but for those who are super sensitive it is likely better to go the full gluten-free beer route. Lakefront Brewery (another sponsor!) has good gluten-free beer made without any gluten ingredients.

Welcome to the forum, @catsrlife! Celiac disease can be diagnosed without committing to a full-blown "gluten challenge" if you get a skin biopsy done during an active outbreak of dermatitis herpetiformis, assuming that is what is causing the rash. There is no other known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis so it is definitive for celiac disease. You would need to find a dermatologist who is familiar with doing the biopsy correctly, however. The samples need to be taken next to the pustules, not on them . . . a mistake many dermatologists make when biopsying for dermatitis herpetiformis.

You state in an earlier post that you don't have celiac disease. Here in this post you state you will "be doing another test". What will this test be looking for? What kind of celiac disease testing have you had done? If you have used a Entero Labs it sounds like you have had stool testing done for celiac disease which is not widely accepted as a valid celiac disease diagnostic testing method. Have you had blood antibody testing for celiac disease done and do you realize that for antibody testing to be valid you must have been eating generous amounts of gluten for a period of weeks/months?

No, I've not been diagnosed as celiac.  Despite Entero Labs being relocated to Switzerland/Greece, I'll be doing another test. After eating wheat products in Greece for 4 weeks, there wasn't any reaction.  However, avoiding it here in the states.   Thanks everyone for your responses.
