Experience With Restaurants In Tampa, Fl

Thought this might help some people who are looking for places to eat out.

I went to Tampa for work last week and had to eat out 2 times a day for 5 days in a row.

I prepared a list of restaurants that have gluten-free menus or items. I also found two bakeries on the gluten-free registry.

So i went to Bonefish Grill Twice. they have a nice gluten-free menu.

Service was blah, they brought my Ceaser with croutons and mixed up my sides with my coworkers.

But fixed it and brought my plate out with a cover.

2nd time was better. they had a special the chef confirmed was gluten-free.

I didn't get sick or have any reaction either time.

Chipolte.

No one spoke very good English, but they confirmed there seasonings do not contain gluten-free.

Had corn tortillas. no sickness

PF Changs.

Very extensive gluten-free menu. great service. no illness

Longhorn

less than stellar gluten-free menu. more like a kids menu. service was horrible.

no sickness but i just picked at my food that day. i was angry they didn't have many options.

Mitchell's Fish Market.

All the seafood was gluten-free and they had 2 or 3 toppings you could choose from that were gluten-free.

Very informed waitor and the cheff actually came out to ask me how the dish was.

this is a higher end pricey place, but worth it if you have the time to wait for a table.

the 2 gluten-free bakeries were pickup only. and the hours were 10-? so i didn't try them for breakfast.

sort of disapointing, so i just ate chex cereal and bananas for breakfast.

On Friday I ate at the airport and had a Nathan's famous hotdog. I know they are all kosher and gluten-free so

i felt safe.

So overall, good experiences, no CC to speak of.

Hope that helps someone.

With the PF Chang around here I learned the hard way that you have to specify you want the gluten free version. Many of the items they have on their gluten free menu also appear on their regular menu, but with gluten. I didn't look through their regular menu because I wasn't going to order anything from it.

They are really good, if they know you want gluten-free.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
