Sugar Cravings

Before I went gluten-free I never really craved sugar, however, over the last 3 or 4 weeks I have gotten a sweet tooth like never before. I can eat 10 rolls of smarties in a matter of minutes and put down a large bag of M&M's in a couple of hours.

I also have been eating a lot grapes and Yogurt too!

Did anyone else experience this?

I've noticed I'm craving sweets too. I thought maybe it was because I'm eating more veggies and protein? Maybe our bodies are missing the carbs we used to eat?

If I'm craving something sweet I grab several dried apricots, or a couple of Hershey's dark chocaloate kisses. Seems to work for me. Maybe with time the sugar cravings will go away?

You could be suffering from sugar addiction - it's weird stuff, but it really explains how I used to react to sugar! Well, and i was allergic to it, too!

When I stayed completely off of sugar for a few weeks, the craving went completely away. But if I got just a taste, it came roaring back like crazy and I craved it again for weeks. <_<

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
