Gluten Free Lotions And Creams?

Bettina

Recommended Posts

Bettina Newbie

So, I've recently, I believe, had a severe reaction to a lotion that contained wheat. I had been slowly and progressively breaking out in hives all over my arms, as well as little red dots on my legs. I stopped using the lotion yesterday, and they're considerably better today. So I've been trying to find a list of gluten-free lotions or creams (creams preferred). I have pretty bad eczema to begin with, so whatever it is absolutely has to be fragrance free.

If anybody has a list or links they could give me it would be very much appreciated! :]

Vanicream. Creamy and free of scent and gluten/wheat. Also hypoallergenic.

Hmm. I've never heard of that. Sounds promising, though. Do you buy it at a particular store, or online?

Are you using artificial sweeeteners or Crystal Lite? Or over the counter drugs ?

I get it at Walgreens.

No, I have a few prescriptions, but no over the counter drugs. I rarely even use Tylenol and stuff for headaches.

vanicream vote again. Wallgreens has a line of their products (including soap i believe).

I just want to say thank you.. SO MUCH. I've been using Vanicream since yesterday, and it's exactly what I was looking for. My skin is already significantly improving. And most of my hives are gone, as well. ^_^

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
