I Think I Have "glutened" Myself

I found out that I have Celiacs this year. I have been doing everything I can to advoid gluten. I call all 800 numbers if I think there might be gluten. I research before leaving if we are going out. I thought I was doing everything right, until today when I was at the grocery store. I was buying meat, and I was going to pick up chicken. Now I usually buy fresh, but I have bought frozen when I know I am going to make stuff for upcoming meals. Well, today I go to pick up the frozen chicken and something catches my eye, it says prepared in chicken broth then frozen. I could not believe this! Here I was thinking I was doing it right, when clear as day it says chicken broth all over it. I almost started to cry in the middle of the store. I never thought that raw chicken would be a problem. I am not sure what to do now. SHould I call the doctor to see about a blood test? I don'tknow what good that would do, but I would hate to think that this whole year, I have done nothing right. Has this happened to any of you before?

Ok, whoa.

The broth in the chicken may or may not have gluten in it.

Call the company that markets it and ask what's in it.

We all mess up. The last year has NOT been in vain. This won't be the last mistake - so just keep doing what you're doing.

We all make mistakes eating gluten-free.

Have you gotten symptoms from that chicken in the past? It's not likely, there was gluten in that broth. You could google the companies name and check on it's status.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
