Theraflu And/or Aspirin

Hi,

Is Theraflu Flu and Sore Throat gluten free? I see it contains maltodextrin which, in medications, is supposed to be suspect.

IF it is NOT gluten free, can I take regular aspirin or widely-known pain reliever? I haven't been sick since getting this diagnosis last year and really need some relief but haven't taken anything yet.

As an aside, I find searching this site "via google" a little confusing.

Thanks!

Well, now feeling downright miserable and, seeing Theraflu on this list, I'm going to take some. Always worked pretty good in the past before I was diagnosed. Wish me luck. Oh, here's the list...

Maltodextrin is not a problem.

This is good news...I am proceeding to the store right now on my way to work. Theraflu used to do the job for me in the past before I got diagnosed a few years ago.

This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):

Wheat flour is fortified with vitamins in the U.S. as a part of USDA policy. Gluten free facsimile products are not fortified. There is no government mandate for such. When you remove wheat flour by going gluten free, you may be removing a significant source of vitamins.

Okay.  That doesn't answer the question, but thanks anyway.
